Important Information

• All art work is signed either "SPMassion" or "SPM" at the lower edge of the piece.
• All artwork is registered with the United States Copyright Office.
• Unless otherwise agreed to, copyrights are not transferred at the point of sale.
• All artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist assuring you that the piece is the original creation of Suzanne Poursine Massion.
• All oil paintings have been allowed to dry for 6 months and a final protective varnish applied. I use both Winsor & Newton Conserv-Art Matt Varnish and Grumbacher Picture Varnish.
• Oil paintings on stretched canvas are primed with three or four coats of gesso and sanded in between each coat prior to start.
• Some oil paintings on stretched canvas are sold unframed. These are gallery wrapped canvases with the painted scene continuing on the sides. They can easily be framed at a future date.
• Oil paintings on medium texture artist canvas are matted and backed. I use 100% cotton rag mats and acid free backing.
• These matted oils are sold both framed and unframed. The painting's web page will provide more detail. Unframed matted oils are shipped in archival plastic sleeves to protect the mats.
• I use Winsor & Newton Artists' Oil Colors.
• Some artwork on the website consists of fine line pen and ink drawings in combination with colored pencil on 60-100 lb. vellum drawing paper.
• Commissioned portraits are done in graphite pencil on 100 lb. vellum drawing paper.
